The week, across every job
A project manager's problem is rarely one job — it is six, at different stages, competing for the same three people. The schedule shows the work across all of them, with crew assigned, so a clash is visible before somebody drives to the wrong site.
Tasks sit against phases on each project, and their due dates carry through to the calendar feed, which means the plan reaches a phone without anyone re-keying it.
Cost you can see before it lands
Purchase orders are the part that separates a project manager who knows where a job stands from one who finds out at invoicing. An issued PO becomes committed cost on the job immediately, so the budget reflects the order the day it goes out rather than the day the bill arrives.
Change orders roll approved amounts into the contract value, and holdback is carried per project rather than netted away, so the number you are looking at is the number the job is actually at.
Evidence, collected as the work happens
Daily logs capture what was done, who was there, the conditions and the photos, dated at the time. That record is what settles a delay claim or a change dispute months later, and it is only worth anything if it was written on the day.
Documents attach to the project with their own visibility, so the permit, the insurance certificate and the drawing are where the person working on that job is already looking.
What the role deliberately cannot see
Payments and the business reports are owner and admin only. A project manager runs jobs; they do not need the company's receivables or its margin by job to do that, and the guard is enforced on the server rather than by hiding a menu item.
That is worth knowing before you invite someone. If your project manager also needs the reports, they need admin — the role boundary is real.

- Yes. It is one of seven roles in the platform, ranked between estimator and admin, and the server enforces it on every route rather than only hiding navigation.
- Can a project manager see company financials?
- They can see invoices, purchase orders and bills against the jobs they run. Payments and the business reports are restricted to owner and admin.
- How many project managers can I have?
- As many as your plan's user limit allows — roles are not separately licensed. Seats are counted by user, not by role.
- Can a project manager add crew and assign work?
- Yes. Crew and crew scheduling are open to the role, so a PM can add a crew member, set their rate and assign them across jobs.
