Construction software built for Canadian builders
Most construction software is built for the US and bolted onto Canada as an afterthought. BuildersBridge is Canada-native: GST/HST/PST by province, WCB-aware subcontractor tracking, CAD pricing, and your project data in a Canadian database region.

Built for the way Canada builds
Canadian builders deal with tax that changes at every provincial border — 5% GST in Alberta, 13% HST in Ontario, GST plus PST in BC and Saskatchewan. BuildersBridge applies the correct tax automatically on every estimate and invoice, so you're never hand-calculating rates or explaining a wrong total to a client.
- GST/HST/PST applied automatically by province on estimates and invoices
- Insurance / WCB expiry tracking on your subcontractors
- Transparent flat pricing in Canadian dollars
- Project data in a Canadian database region, with export any time — no lock-in
Working out which tax applies to a job? How BuildersBridge handles GST, HST and PST by province walks through the rates and the real-property rules, province by province.
Worked example: the same $10,000 job across Canada
A $10,000 renovation, before tax, run through the tax engine the app uses on estimates and invoices. The first table is the standard calculation; the second is the same job as a supply-and-install contract with construction tax rules turned on in Settings.
| Province | Tax | Total |
|---|---|---|
| AB | GST 5%: $500.00 | $10,500.00 |
| BC | GST 5%: $500.00, PST 7%: $700.00 | $11,200.00 |
| SK | GST 5%: $500.00, PST 6%: $600.00 | $11,100.00 |
| MB | GST 5%: $500.00, RST 7%: $700.00 | $11,200.00 |
| ON | HST 13%: $1,300.00 | $11,300.00 |
| QC | GST 5%: $500.00, QST 9.975%: $997.50 | $11,497.50 |
| NS | HST 14%: $1,400.00 | $11,400.00 |
| Province | Tax on the invoice | Total | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| BC | GST 5%: $500.00 | $10,500.00 | No PST on the invoice; you pay PST on the materials |
| SK | GST 5%: $500.00, PST 6%: $600.00 | $11,100.00 | PST on the whole price, labour included |
| MB | GST 5%: $500.00 | $10,500.00 | No RST on the invoice; RST on materials is in your price |
| QC | GST 5%: $500.00, QST 9.975%: $997.50 | $11,497.50 | Rule not verified in BuildersBridge yet: QST on the full price |
Alberta, Ontario and the Atlantic provinces come out the same either way. In BC and Manitoba the provincial tax moves off the invoice and into your material cost, so price it in. Quebec is flagged on the document until its rule is verified. BuildersBridge is software, not tax advice.
What it does today, and what it does not
- Works todayGST, HST and PST rates for every province and territory on estimates, invoices and change orders, with plans priced and billed in CAD.
- You do thisConstruction tax rules for BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are a workspace setting you turn on; each document then records the type of work. Quebec's rule is not verified yet, so QST is applied to the full price.
- Works todayYour workspace database is in a Canadian region (Montréal). Some providers for payments, email and AI may process limited data outside Canada; the privacy policy lists them.
