The numbers that decide things
Nine reports, each exporting to CSV: invoiced revenue and collections, aging receivables, lead conversion, estimate win rate, project profit against budget, crew utilisation, schedule variance, client activity and a monthly summary.
The two most owners look at first are win rate and project profit, because between them they answer the only question that matters — are we quoting the right work, and are we making money on the work we win.
Where the margin actually goes
Job costing carries budget, committed and actual separately, which is what makes a problem visible before the invoices arrive. A job can be comfortably under on billed cost and already over on what has been signed for.
Change orders protect the margin the estimate assumed, and holdback stays visible as money earned and not yet received rather than quietly missing from a total.
Who can see what, and why that is yours to set
Seven roles with real boundaries: owner, admin, project manager, estimator, crew, subcontractor and client. A crew member does not see receivables. A client sees their own project and nothing else. An estimator does not open the reports.
The guards run on the server, so a hidden menu item is not the control — the page itself refuses. That distinction matters the day someone shares a link.
Your data is yours
Export the whole workspace as a ZIP of twelve CSVs whenever you want: leads, clients, projects, tasks, estimates, invoices, change orders, POs, bills, vendors, crew and a summary. No fee, no ticket, no notice period.
That is a deliberate position rather than a feature. Software that makes leaving difficult is relying on something other than being worth staying for.

- Payments and the business reports are limited to owner and admin. Team management, roles and plan settings sit there too.
- Can I preview what a role sees before inviting someone?
- Yes. The dashboard has a role preview that shows the product as a given role experiences it. It can only downgrade your view, never elevate it, so previewing is safe.
